Contractor Benefits
Terms of Use
Version 1.3 · Effective 20 October 2026
These Terms of Use explain your rights and responsibilities when using Contractor Benefits. The Privacy Notice explains how Surefire Partners Ltd uses your information, including when you ask for specialist contact, use connected benefits or choose to receive emails. Read both parts before registering or making an enquiry.
Operator and contact details
Legal operator and data controller: Surefire Partners Ltd, trading as Contractor Benefits.
Company registration number: 10227709. Contact address: Pike House Rd, St Helens, WA10 5JZ.
For all enquiries, support, complaints and privacy requests: helpdesk@contractorbenefits.com.
Contractor Benefits may carry the branding of the accountant, umbrella company or other organisation that gives you access. That branding does not change the identity of the platform operator.
Part A Terms of Use
1 Your agreement and eligibility
These terms form an agreement between you and Surefire Partners Ltd when you register and accept them. The Privacy Notice provides information about our processing of personal data; accepting these terms is not blanket consent to optional marketing or to all possible uses of your information.
The platform is intended for individuals aged 18 or over in the United Kingdom who are eligible through a participating organisation. Users may include umbrella workers, limited company directors, sole traders and people working under CIS. A product being displayed does not mean every work arrangement is eligible for it.
You must provide accurate information and only use access credentials or an organisation PIN supplied to you legitimately. A shared organisation PIN identifies the organisation providing access; your individual account is protected separately. Do not publish, sell or misuse an organisation PIN or another person’s account.
If you act for a business, you must have authority to provide its information and request contact on its behalf. These member terms do not replace a separate commercial agreement we may have with your organisation or a provider.
2 Your account and security
Keep your login details secure, use a password you do not share with others and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for taking reasonable care of your account and keeping your contact details current. We will not ask you to send us your password by email.
We may require email verification and proportionate checks to protect accounts and confirm eligibility. You must not impersonate someone, make enquiries without authority, submit misleading information or interfere with security or access controls. Do not upload malicious code, scrape the platform without permission or use it for unlawful, abusive or fraudulent activity.
3 What Contractor Benefits provides
We provide access to information, member offers and introductions to third-party specialists. Depending on your organisation and eligibility, this may include business insurance, life and income protection, mortgage advice, vehicle leasing, free will writing and other legal services, cashback, health and wellbeing offers and everyday savings.
We operate the platform and referral process. We do not provide personal financial, insurance, mortgage, tax, legal or medical advice through the platform, and we do not make lending, underwriting or legal suitability decisions. General explanations, suggested topics and illustrative calculations do not assess your circumstances or recommend a product to you.
Our provider panel and offers are selected for the platform and are not a comparison of every supplier or product in the market. Your organisation may retain a provider of its own. The provider shown for your enquiry is the provider to whom that enquiry will be directed. You are free to compare alternatives and are under no obligation to proceed.
4 Requesting contact from a specialist
When you select subjects, complete an enquiry and press the button asking the named provider or providers to contact you, you instruct us to pass the relevant details to them. The form identifies the intended recipient and subjects. We record the request and referral reference. Submitting that request authorises us to make the referral described on the form.
We share the contact information and relevant answers described in the Privacy Notice. If several selected subjects are handled by the same provider, they may form one conversation and one referral. Where different providers are involved, each receives only the information relevant to its part of the request.
Reading information, opening an explanation, recording that you already have cover or saving a date does not itself submit a callback enquiry. A referral receipt confirms that we have recorded your request; it does not confirm that an appointment is booked, a provider has accepted the case, cover is in place or a transaction has completed.
We take reasonable steps to route enquiries correctly but cannot guarantee a particular provider response time. Contact us if you think a request has been misdirected or not received. You can ask us to stop an uncompleted referral; if details have already reached a provider, you may also need to contact it directly.
5 Provider services and separate agreements
Providers are responsible for their advice, quotations, eligibility checks, contracts, products, customer service and fulfilment. Before you proceed, review their terms, privacy information, fees, exclusions and any applicable regulatory disclosures. Any purchase or professional engagement is a separate agreement with the relevant provider or retailer unless we expressly tell you otherwise. You engage a provider at your own discretion and accept the risks of its independent services and the agreement you enter into with it. We are not a party to that agreement, do not supervise its advice or performance and do not guarantee its suitability, solvency, conduct or results. Subject to the rights preserved in section 15, we are not liable for a provider’s independent advice, acts, omissions, products or failure to fulfil its agreement. This does not exclude liability for our own failures where the law makes us responsible.
A provider may ask you directly for additional financial, medical, identity or legal information through its own secure process. Do not put bank details, payment card details, identity documents, medical diagnoses or detailed health records into our general enquiry notes.
Regulatory protection, cancellation rights, complaints routes and any ombudsman or compensation arrangements depend on the provider and product. Do not assume all providers or services have the same authorisation or protections. We do not restrict any right or remedy you have against a provider or against us.
6 Prices offers and eligibility
Prices, discounts, cashback rates, offer dates and product availability can change. We take reasonable care in presenting information supplied to us, but the provider must confirm the final price, availability and applicable terms before you commit. Offer conditions may include minimum spending, exclusions, expiry dates, activation steps or restrictions on combining promotions.
An upcoming offer may be displayed with its start date. It is not represented as redeemable before that date. A listed discount or cashback percentage applies only on the provider’s stated terms; it is not a guarantee of a particular amount saved on every purchase.
You must decide whether an offer is relevant to you and supply truthful information when seeking a quote. There is no guarantee of approval, acceptance, a saving, the lowest market price or a better renewal price. Any claim made by a provider about its own market coverage or comparison service should be checked with that provider.
7 Cars and vans
Where a deal is described as Business Contract Hire, the agreement is a business lease and eligibility depends on the business, vehicle and funder. Displaying Cars and Vans as separate categories does not turn one into personal contract hire. An umbrella employment arrangement does not itself make you eligible to lease a company vehicle through your own business.
One month upfront means an initial rental equivalent to one monthly rental on the advertised basis. It is not a zero-upfront arrangement or a refundable deposit. The initial rental, later rentals, VAT basis, contract length, annual mileage and any disclosed fees must be checked in the actual quote. Requested changes to mileage or term may change the price.
Business cost or tax illustrations depend on stated assumptions, your circumstances and the rules applying at the relevant time. They are not the rental invoice or a guaranteed saving. Private use, VAT recovery, benefit-in-kind and employer tax costs may affect the overall position. Confirm the treatment with your accountant or tax adviser before proceeding.
A vehicle enquiry does not reserve stock, create an order or obtain credit approval. The provider will confirm availability, delivery, funder approval, maintenance arrangements and any mileage, condition or early-termination charges. We do not accept a vehicle order or collect lease payments through a general enquiry.
8 Free will writing and other legal support
Where the platform offers free will writing, the free offer applies to the scope and eligibility confirmed by the named legal provider. Ask the provider to confirm what is included before starting. Complex instructions, additional work, probate, lasting powers of attorney and trusts may attract separate fees. They are not automatically included in a free will-writing offer.
Legal requirements differ across the UK and according to your circumstances. The provider must advise on suitability, execution, witnessing, registration and any other formalities. Recording a will as already arranged or submitting an enquiry does not create a valid will or other legal instrument.
9 Everyday Savings connected services and cashback
Everyday Savings may display content supplied by Circular Benefits Limited and other benefit partners. When you choose a connected CB service, we may create or update a limited CB user account and obtain a single-use sign-in link as explained in the Privacy Notice. CB may require you to accept its own terms before access.
Retail cards, promotional codes, cinema tickets, days out, health offers and other benefits are fulfilled under the relevant supplier’s terms. Gift card discounts and cashback are different arrangements and should not be assumed to stack. You are responsible for checking retailer acceptance and redemption conditions before buying or loading a card.
The byond cashback service has its own account, fees, card terms and provider relationship. The Get my card and Log in links take you to byond. Those actions do not mean we issue a card, hold your card balance or operate a payment account. Check current fees, qualifying retailers, cashback conditions and any pending period with byond before signing up.
10 Existing cover dates and reminders
You may optionally record that a particular product is already arranged and add an estimated renewal, review or deal-end date. These records are your statements, not verification by us that cover exists, is adequate or remains in force. A record for one product does not establish cover for another.
When you save an estimated renewal date, we explain the reminder you are requesting. You can edit or remove the date and manage reminder preferences in My account. A review or mortgage deal-end date is not necessarily an annual policy renewal. The platform will explain which reminder feature applies.
Reminders are a convenience. Delivery depends on accurate dates and contact details, your preferences and email delivery. You remain responsible for renewal deadlines, policy continuity, legal documents and mortgage arrangements. A reminder is not an automatic quotation, an instruction to renew or a guarantee of a lower price.
11 Emails and your choices
We send necessary account and service emails, including verification, password resets, security notices, important changes and confirmations relating to requests you make. These messages are distinct from optional marketing; switching off offers does not stop messages reasonably necessary to operate your account or handle your enquiry.
Optional emails may include weekly car deals, Everyday Savings, offers, service recommendations and invitations to review a renewal or an area of support. We send electronic marketing only where permitted by applicable law and your recorded choices. Registration, acceptance of these terms or receipt of an organisation PIN is not, by itself, consent to all marketing.
You can switch off offer emails or individual available categories in My account, use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us. Reminder settings are also available in My account. We will honour an objection to direct marketing, including promotional renewal messages; we will not re-label promotional content as an essential service message to bypass your choice. An opted-out email already processed for delivery may arrive, but we will apply suppression to later sends promptly.
A callback request allows the named provider to respond about the subjects you selected. It does not automatically subscribe you to unrelated provider advertising. Providers are responsible for explaining and honouring their own marketing choices.
12 Access charges and commercial relationships
We do not charge members a platform access or licence fee. Products and services you choose may have separate charges, premiums, rentals, subscriptions or professional fees. A free platform or free initial enquiry does not mean every product or advice service is free.
We may receive referral fees, affiliate income or commission if you take up a qualifying product or service. We may share that income with the organisation that gives you access, under our separate agreement with it. The amount and timing depend on the arrangement and the completed business; not every provider or action generates a fee.
Recording referrals and checking conversions helps us reconcile these arrangements. Any commission disclosure required for a particular product must be provided by the party responsible for that disclosure before you commit. You can ask us about our commercial relationship with a named provider.
13 Availability changes and ending access
We aim to provide the platform with reasonable care and skill. Access may be interrupted by maintenance, security issues, third-party outages or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We may change content, providers and features, or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, misuse or loss of eligibility.
Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of a material change or withdrawal and explain how it affects your account. Urgent security or legal changes may take effect sooner. Removing an offer does not cancel an existing contract with its provider. If we make a material change to these terms, we will make the new version available and notify affected users appropriately; we will seek fresh agreement where legally necessary.
You may stop using the platform or request account deletion at any time, through My account. Ending platform access does not end a provider policy, mortgage, lease, legal engagement or cashback account. The provider’s cancellation process applies. Some information may be retained for the reasons explained in the Privacy Notice.
14 Intellectual property and permitted use
We and our licensors own the platform and its content, except for material owned by providers or other rights holders. You may use the platform and save information reasonably needed for your own permitted use. Do not copy, resell, publish or exploit substantial parts of it without permission. Provider names and logos identify their services; their appearance does not give you rights to use them.
You retain rights in information you submit. You give us permission to use it only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, handle your requests and carry out the purposes described in the Privacy Notice. Do not submit information you have no right to share.
15 Responsibility and your legal rights
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, for a provider’s independent acts or omissions that we did not cause, or for matters outside our reasonable control. This does not exclude responsibility for our own referral, security or other failings where the law makes us responsible.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing removes your statutory rights, including applicable rights relating to services and digital content. Access being free does not remove rights you have under data protection or other applicable law.
Where you use the platform wholly or mainly for business purposes, we are not liable for business profit, revenue, opportunity or anticipated savings lost as an indirect or consequential result of a breach, to the extent the law permits. This provision does not apply to a consumer’s losses where excluding them would be unlawful or unfair. We do not impose a blanket exclusion of all liability or require you to waive legal remedies.
16 Complaints and contact
Contact helpdesk@contractorbenefits.com with a platform complaint, giving a brief description and any relevant referral reference. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. For advice, product performance, billing or fulfilment complaints, contact the responsible provider; we can help identify it and trace the referral.
Our complaints process does not prevent you using a provider’s applicable complaints or ombudsman route, contacting a regulator or taking legal action. Privacy complaints and data rights requests are addressed in Part B.
17 Governing law and general terms
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you keep any mandatory protection available under the law of your home jurisdiction and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you there. These terms do not require consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland to bring every dispute in England.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in exercising a right does not waive it. These terms do not confer enforcement rights on a third party, except where required by law. Separate agreements with providers and your organisation remain separate. We may transfer our platform business and associated obligations, subject to protecting your rights and notifying you where appropriate.
